1989 O-Pee-Chee Baseball Pack

1989 O-Pee-Chee is a 396-card set produced for the Canadian market by the O-Pee-Chee company of London, Ontario. As usual, the design is identical to that of Topps' flagship set. The only distinctions between the Topps and OPC sets are the bilingual text and the O-Pee-Chee copyright on the backs. The cards were also printed on a lighter, brighter, cardstock -- similar to Topps Tiffany.

Since O-Pee-Chee was half the size of Topps, the checklist is skewed towards current and former players from the two Canadian teams. There is a five-card 1988 World Series Highlights subset that was not available in Topps scattered throughout the set. And since OPC was issued months after the Topps set, traded players were able to have their new teams and dates of trade notated on their card.
