One of the Hobby's true "landmark" products, 1990 Leaf is a 528-card set released in two, 264-card series. Designed by Donruss to directly compete with Upper Deck, the cards were issued in 15-card foil wrapped packs and were not available in factory sets. Each pack also contained one three-piece puzzle panel of a 63-piece Yogi Berra "Donruss Hall of Fame Diamond King" puzzle.
The card fronts feature a color player photograph. The cards have a non-glossy finish with a white border. The card reverse has a color head-shot of the player with full career stats. The cards have a non-glossy finish with a silver background.
The set was available at Hobby dealers, and in select retail outlets -- primarily along the West Coast and Great Lakes regions.
