1994 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Series 1 Pack

The 1994 Collect-A-Card Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Series 1 Hobby Pack features action-packed imagery straight from the classic live-action television show. The cards showcase the main teenagers with attitude, their martial arts mentors, and the iconic giant robot Zords fighting against Rita Repulsa's alien monsters.

Pack Configuration & Contents

Each individual hobby pack contains a mix of base cards and hobby-exclusive inserts:

7 Base Cards: Featuring scenes, rangers, and villains from the original TV show.
1 Parallel Powerfoil Card: Every single hobby pack includes one etched foil card variant.
1 Power Cap: A collectible cardboard milk cap (POG) themed around the series.

Hobby vs. Retail Differences

The Hobby version is distinct from the retail versions (like the Wal-Mart variants) sold in regular department stores:

Border Design: Hobby cards feature distinct front borders that smoothly transition from blue/purple at the top down to a red/pink hue at the bottom. The back borders transition from blue on the outside to yellow on the inside.
Guaranteed Foils: The one-per-pack Powerfoil insert distribution is specific to the hobby configuration.

Standard Base Cards

The core of the pack includes 7 standard cards printed on glossy cardstock. These base cards are divided into several distinct thematic categories:

Ranger Profiles: Individual bio cards detailing each Ranger's civilian life, martial arts skills, and superhero identity.
Zord Directory: Action shots of the individual Dinozords and the massive, combined Megazord.
Villain Gallery: Dedicated entries for Rita Repulsa, Goldar, Squatt, Baboo, and the clay Putty Patrol.
Episode Highlights: Frame-by-frame narrative cards capturing memorable battles and plotlines from season one.

Complete Set Details

If you are looking to open packs to complete a master set, the Series 1 subset consists of:

72 Base Cards: Totaling 144 across both Series 1 and Series 2.
12 Powerfoil Cards: A dazzling etched subset featuring the core rangers and Zords.
10 Power Caps: The complete collectible POG insert set for Series 1.
